Efva Attling
Production
Overview
Efva Attling has built a jewellery house on a clear point of view, and the work had to carry that without giving anything up on craft. We produced three complete campaign worlds from one process: a portrait series in daylight and stone, a studio still life of the pieces themselves, and a bright beauty series on colour. Same brand, three different rooms, and no shoot day between them.
Approach
We started from the jewellery, not from a mood board. Every piece had to read correctly: the weight of a chain, the way gold catches a north-facing window, the size of a stone against a hand. Once that was right, we built three worlds around it instead of one.
Maj is a portrait series in concrete and daylight, where the jewellery is the only warm thing in the frame. Stilleben puts the pieces alone on colour, so the craft has to carry the shot on its own. Vega is clean studio light on soft pink, close enough to read every link in a chain.
Fifteen stills and six films came out of it. A traditional production would have needed three separate shoots, three locations and two casts to reach the same range, and a calendar none of them had.
Results
Three campaign worlds delivered as one body of work, every frame built from the real pieces. No location scouting, no travel, no shoot day. Efva Attling can run portrait, product and beauty in the same month instead of choosing between them.
